Take Us To The End of 2013
So the biggest thing that happened to Nyte last year was
that he learned how to walk. Granted, he was taking steps on his own a few days
after he started to crawl. We actually thought he was going to skip crawling
all together just because he had such a strong interest in walking. He had some
bumps and bruises in the learning process, but he got over his inhibitions soon
enough. Now we have to keep up with him and nothing is safe…
As for me, I got my ganglion cyst removed in October! Let’s
just say that was a VERY expensive nap. We are pretty sure it has come back
since then. It’s either in the same place as before or on a different tendon.
But the surgery was only supposed to have a 70% success rate so I’m not too
bummed…well…maybe a little since the surgery cost over $1k.
Traz is working hard at Intermountain Electronics. He helped
bring out the latest catalog for the company and has been improving many
products for the better.

This past Christmas we got to go to California! I hadn’t
been home since Traz and I got married. It was a long drive and Traz was
exhausted when we got there but we had a lot of fun. It was good to see family
and Nyte got to meet everyone from my side of the family for the first time! He
also really enjoyed being outside in December since it was still too cold to go
outside in Price at that time. Our big trip there was to the San Diego Zoo!
Traz loved being outside all day two days before Christmas and Nyte really
enjoyed the animals. All around it was a good time.
BIG CHANGE #1:
The first big change? I’ll give you a hint….it makes me get
bigger each week! That’s right! Baby Wayman #2 is due July 28th!
Nyte is going to be a big brother to a little BOY! We still haven’t chosen a
name for him yet but we are working on it. Ideas are in the works though!
It’s interesting to see how Nyte reacts to things like a
baby. He knows what a baby is, but doesn’t grasp the concept that there is one
in my stomach. He also has a REALLY hard time with doctors doing anything to
me. Traz had to take him out of the
second ultrasound because he was so upset, and I have to bring a movie for him
to watch while my doctor checks the heartbeat and such. It’s kind of cute how
protective he is over me. The only bump (pun may or may not be intended) in the
road of this pregnancy is that I had a low lying placenta at 18 weeks. But I got a third ultrasound and I am good to go on that front! I do need to drink more fluids. Other than that, I get to run (soon
waddle) after Nyte until the baby comes!
BIG CHANGE #2:
This change involves big debt. We bought a house! We are
very excited about this since we have been working towards this for a little
over a year now. We had a great real estate agent, who also happens to be our
Stake President! He was very patient with us in when we were able to meet and
what houses we wanted to see. We saw some that were good and some that were
terrifying. In the end, we chose our 4
bedroom, 2 bath house that was just down the street from where we used to live.
Literally, you walk to the end on the street that we lived on and you can see
our new house across the street from that corner. It’s great not only for the
easy move, but also for the fact that we stay in the same ward for church.
Other than that, we celebrated 3 years of marriage on the 15th!
It’s amazing that we have come so far and have done so much. We are both very
different people now but it’s all been
for the better. I can’t imagine my life without Traz and I thank Heavenly
Father every day for bringing him into
my life.
Traz also had his 26th birthday on the 17th.
Nothing big. Just some pizza, and ice cream with a Peep (his favorite) and a
birthday candle on top. He enjoyed it because it was simple, and I enjoyed it
because it wasn’t too simple J
So that brings things up to date for the most part. We are happy, busy and exhausted.
But we wouldn’t have it any other way….
